Driver Keenan Phillips, of the 1997 BMW 328i, recently presented me with the opportunity to co-drive. Surprise! First event being STPR ’23 (Susquehannock Trail Performance Rally). At the expense of a trade-off of shooting media for the event, we achieved 3rd in the O2WD class.
We competed in LSPR ’23 (Lake Superior Performance Rally) this past October, as well. However, on SS6 Bob Lake II, we hopped a crest faster and further than anticipated, landing silly shortly before a R4. The rear wheel caught on the upturned loose, ultimately pulling the car into a full 1.5x barrel roll into trees. Looking forward to seeing where the powers that be take me next season.
My next goal in this sector, is to attend a training program regarding codriving. These experiences have been a privilege, cracking open an intrigue, appreciation and deep respect to learn more and press on further, regardless.
